As theatre practitioners with counselling backgrounds we deliver our training through a combination of play, people based skills and techical knowledge. We run workshops and courses for teams and groups as well as working privately with individuals. Our approach is experiential, fast, and entertaining.

CASE STUDIES
Individual presentation coaching
The CEO of a NHS Trust was embarking on a long series of public consultations and media appearances. He asked us to give him the tools to communicate a difficult and unpopular message to a wide audience. As with all our clients, we met with the Chief Executive to discuss the background to this situation and what he was looking to achieve. We then attended a public consultation meeting at which he was speaking and taking questions. These first 'get to know you' sessions enable us to come up with a unique programme that will work most effectively and quickly for each individual. In this case we used a mixture of Theatre, Counselling and NLP tools. These complimentary disciplines allowed the client to discover the reasons why he was holding back from being the effective communicator he clearly was in other situations. We developed his vocal range and freedom which gave him the tools to communicate with flexibility, power and confidence. We achieved all this in just four sessions. This is what he said about working with us. 'Working with p2p was a really interactive and hands on learning experience. Smiles and laughing are obligatory parts of their training! Their personalised approach helped me discover the great communicator in me." As a result of his experience with us he recommended that we work with his newly appointed Director Of Medicine.
Communication Skills
We have just developed and delivered a workshop for IT Engineers at Birmingham City Council. We spent a day at the work place and, in consultation with the department manager, discovered that what was needed was experiential, face to face communication training. The Engineers also needed to learn time management, and how to deal effectively, calmly and professionally with clients who were often highly stressed. We took the delegates through a series of Theatre Based communication exercises, worked on role play and Forum Theatre scenarios based directly on their work experience. We collected this information from individual pre course questionaires. During the role play and Forum Theatre sections we made sure the delegates incorporated a very effective structure designed to take the heat out of a situation while ensuring that best service is maintained. We worked on body language and status through a series of experiential, hands on exercises. At the end of the day we gave them all a powerful centring, calming exercise for them to use after encountering stressful situations. "Brilliant! Not boring at all.
